Reyna Ramos
My name is Reyna Isabel Ramos. I was Born en La Costa Grande in Acapulco de Guerrero, raise in Chicago. Soccer has been in my family for about four decades. My father played soccer in Coyuca de Benitez Guerrero. Since I can remember Saturday's and Sundays were busy with soccer. My first most memorable soccer event was when I played soccer for the first time. It was the indoor season, I was 11 years old. I remember seeing my parents on the side lines. They were both pointing on the opposite sides! One wanted me to go left, and the other one right. Even though I knew the game of soccer I was extremely nervous and I remember standing In the middle of the field looking at them both and raising my hands up while I said "LEFT or Right? forward or defense?" My face was puzzled, because at that moment all i wanted to do was make my parents proud. Soccer turn into the "thing" I wanted to play and practice and be involved. I made friends and numerous of great memories. Having this youth futbol club is an honor. To have these kids in activities and out of the streets, focusing on a sport that is healthy and beneficial in many ways it's a pleasure. Even if these kids don't make it to the big leagues they are all champions in my eyes! The way I have seen them develop and the chemistry demonstrated playing together in the field it's incredible. I hope and I will push for them to all progress to a level where they make it to a great high school followed by a spectacular college and university. The ideal would be all of them together, but we know that is at times not possible. I will keep pushing these kids that have won my heart, game by game, practice by practice to always give it their all! And I want them to remember that If they ever need someone to believe in them, I have always believed from day one! All you need in this world is "Ganas" ( is the want, need, and will to want something with all your heart) I can't wait to see what the future brings. I want to see a Cristiano Ronaldo, a Lionel Messi, Arjen Robben, Neymar Da Silva Santos Junior, James Rodriguez, Mia Hamm, Abby Wambach, Marta Vieira, Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, or a Cecilia Santiago develop in these kids. I can see the love they have for the game. By now we all should know that with love nothing is impossible. The word itself says ...
